Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Nana D and I’m reaching out with a deeply personal mission. After 17 long years, I am preparing to return to Ghana—my birthplace, my roots, my first home.

I left Ghana as a child, full of dreams but unaware of just how much I’d long for the red clay roads, the rich culture, the voices, and the warmth of the people I grew up with. Now, as an adult, I’ve spent years building a life far from home, but not a day has passed without feeling the pull to return—to reconnect with my family, heritage, and the parts of myself that were left behind.

This trip is more than just a vacation. It’s a healing journey. I’ll be visiting the village I grew up in, reuniting with relatives I haven’t seen in nearly two decades, and documenting the experience to inspire others in the diaspora who are longing to reconnect with their roots.
