I am currently an undergraduate studying at the University of Nevada, Reno and double majoring in wildlife ecology and pre-veterinary sciences. I aspire to work in the field of wildlife medicine and conservation, working with and protecting the species that are unable to advocate for themselves. I was recently introduced to this oppurtunity to go to South Africa to study the African wildlife. In this program I will be immersed in real life conservation measures and threats to the African wildlife. The program will include classroom lectures followed by hands on experiences, applying what we have learned to real life situations. As an amimal lover, aspiring to become a veterinarian, this oppurtunity will allow me to pursue my passion and gain experience in a curcial field of study in this current climate. Many of the proceeds from the price of this program go back into the Amakhala Game Reserve to continue to support conservation measures.
I am fortunate enough to have parents who will do anything to help me achieve my dreams, so I want to help out with finacial burdens in anyway I can. I am working as much as my full course load allows me. Any donations help and as I go on this adventure I will be visual blog of my experiences!
Thank you so much for your support!
