My Travel Story

Edward has grown an interest in the connections and differences of the Abrahamic faiths. This trip is a great way to get to see incountry study of primary locations to those studies. 

Walking in the land and reading original texts, we will examine early Christian writings as responses to the current events of their age, exploring the geography, politics, society, and cultures of the land. Focusing on the Jewish and Roman imperial contexts of the gospels and letters of the Christian “New Testament,” we will follow the emergence of the Jesus movement in response to the convergence of these two ancient civilizations. We will have the opportunity to explore and learn about various cultural and historic sites in Israel.
