Hi, my name is Jaime Grijalba, and once again I turn to you in order to expand my education as a film critic and writer. I was selected to be part of the Locarno Critics Academy, which might be the most important instance in film festivals around the world that reunites critics from different continents to hone their craft and get to know each other in the context of the Locarno Film Festival.
Unfortunately, I don't have the money to pay for the plane ticket because the work situation in Chile for critics and filmmakers is always on the verge of the void, and since once again I've been rejected to receive government funding to pay for the trip (they're prioritizing producers and filmmakers, which I can understand, but criticism is also part of a country's film culture), I've turned to you to pay the debt that I've come into in order to book my flight.

  • Why The Goal Keeps Going Down

    Hello everyone!
    Thanks to all who have donated so far.
    The reason as to why the goal has been diminished once and again is because I've received donations outside the FundmyTravel system and that means I've been lowering the goal accordingly.

    Thanks to everyone that has donated so far to this crowdfunding, I'm immensely honored and humbled by the appreciation that everyone has given me, either by sharing or actually donating.

    Right now the airfare goal has been lowered, and maybe it'll continue to lower, because I've received donations outside of the system, and since I want to be transparent, I'll lower the goal as I won't be needing that money for anything else but the plane ticket.
