My Travel Story

Hey everyone! So here's my story - I'm a 18-year-old Chinese student living in Hungary, and there's something that's been weighing on my heart: I've never seen my homeland. Yeah, you read that right. While I've grown up with my family's stories about our beautiful culture, tasted my grandma's recipes, and learned about our history, I've never actually walked the streets where my ancestors lived.
Living in Hungary has been amazing, but there's this constant feeling that a huge part of my identity is just... missing. Every time I see videos of bustling Chinese streets, ancient temples, or people my age hanging out in modern Chinese cities, it hits different. This isn't just tourism - it's about connecting with my roots.
My dream is to:
-Visit China for 9 months
-Visit my family's hometown for the first time
-Finally meet relatives I've only seen on WeChat
-Learn the traditional recipes I've only watched my parents make
-Experience the festivals I've only celebrated abroad
-Actually use the Mandarin I've been practicing my whole life!
-Between university costs and helping my family, saving up has been tough. Any support, even just sharing my story, would mean everything to me. This isn't just a trip - it's about finding a piece of myself I've never gotten to know.
