My Travel Story

Hello there. My name is Patrick and I’m a travel photographer.

I spent the last 5 years in China working as a teacher and freelance photographer travelling all over the country. Unfortunately last year, for personal reasons, I left Beijing which was almost my second home.
Since then, I started working on a personal project to make a photo book with my best photos of China. The book will be a reflection of my experiences there and of all those wonderful places that the country hides and they are not so popular.

During my stay in the country I visited the provinces of Yunnan, Sichuan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Tianjin, Beijing, Hunan, Gansu, Sha'anxi and Shanxi.

My purpose for 2020 is to go back to the country with my camera and visit some specific provinces like Guizhou, Tibet and Inner Mongolia, where many ethnic minorities lives and where the landscapes are amazing.
 China is a country that is changing very fast and part of its charm is being lost as a result of these changes. Photography can help us keep that charm.
 
As you can see in my photos and the video attached, the final project will be great.
I just need some help to get back there. The funds will go towards trains, food, accommodation, SIM card, VPN, cell service and other daily life needs.
