My Travel Story

Friends and Family,
As most of you know I have had a love of animals since a young age. For the past several years I have found a career as a Veterinary Technician that supports and strengthens this passion everyday. I am very lucky and proud to have found a job that I love. This July my dedication to animal health and welfare is taking me far away!

I have wanted to travel to Africa to go on Safari to view wildlife since I can remember. I never really thought it would happen, which I guess it is still not happening, I am doing something so much more meaningful and rewarding. This year I am going to use my skills I have developed to help African Wildlife in need! I will be working with a veterinarian and team to help provide wild animals with basic veterinary care (disease checks, vaccines, pregnancy checks, sick animal care) and also relocation to help create diversity in the genetic population (many animals are unable to travel distances to mate because of development in these areas or because they are in game reserves). I am thrilled I get to sedate and capture some of the biggest mammals in the world.
