My Travel Story

Hello everyone! My name is Jaquie! I am a 21-year-old college student hoping to further my studies this summer by studying abroad in Spain. I am currently an undergrad student at the University of Illinois Chicago. My major at UIC is Gender and Women Studies and minoring in Public Health, with the hope to further my education in medical school after graduation. I majored in Gender Women Studies in the aim of gaining more knowledge to better serve the needs of my future patients. Gaining these skills will further my approachability when it comes to my higher educational goals.
There is so much to learn while studying abroad, and I am confident that this trip to Spain will allow me to meet new people, form relationships and most importantly, experience another culture while improving my language skills. This program entails a number of travels throughout Spain where I will widen my perspective and learn about gender relations, health, social services, and history.
This is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
