Hi, my name is Lars, and I'm excited to share an incredible journey my girlfriend and I are about to embark on. We're heading to Thailand to volunteer at an elephant sanctuary, where we'll be dedicating our time and energy to help these magnificent creatures.

Elephants are facing numerous threats, from habitat loss to poaching, and their numbers are dwindling at an alarming rate. These gentle giants are crucial to their ecosystems, and their well-being has a ripple effect on countless other species. By working at the sanctuary, we aim to provide these elephants with the care and support they desperately need. This includes medical treatment, proper nutrition, and creating a safe and natural environment for them to thrive.

The sanctuary relies heavily on donations to maintain its operations and to continue rescuing and rehabilitating elephants. While I have already saved €1,000 to contribute directly to the elephants' needs, more help is needed. The costs of medical supplies, food, and the construction of better living spaces add up quickly. Here are some examples of what your donations can help cover:

€20 can provide a week's worth of nutritious food for one elephant.
€50 can cover the cost of essential medical supplies for a month.
€100 can help build and maintain safe shelters.
€200 can contribute towards rescue operations to save elephants from harmful environments.
I am covering my own travel and accommodation expenses to ensure that all funds raised go directly to the sanctuary and the elephants. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a significant difference in the lives of these endangered animals.
