Desperately need help to visit a dying relative

My Travel Story

It is a personal trip but not for vacation. I was informed that the man that was like a father to me (my own dad disowned me) is not doing well at all, and he does not have long to live. He has been asking me to come see him but I have had car issues galore. My current car won't go over 55 mph, I have spoken to a friend that said he has a very good and cheap mechanic that can fix it if that is the issue. I have not been able to work due to a recent foot surgery so I can't afford the car repair or rental car if I can't get mine fixed, the gas, or any extra funds to eat or whatever else I is needed. I need to go up there as soon as possible because I was told he does not have long to live at all. Any assistance would be appreciated and put towards this short trip. Something is better than nothing, but if I could raise all of it and not have to stress out and actually enjoy my time with this wonderful man would be amazing.
