My Travel Story

Hi, my name is Tashara Collins, aka Tara. I am raising money to begin my journey studying abroad. My goal is to study many different languages and cultures around the world in order to participate in global mission work, bridging cultures, and breaking language barriers in international relations. Studying the languages and cultures of different people will help me properly gain the wisdom, knowledge and experience needed to pursue my larger vision. While I am studying abroad I plan on building valuable connections and pursuing cultural exchange/volunteer programs to broaden my horizons. I listed multiple locations because I don’t know how long it will take to raise the funds to begin my travels. My first destination will depend on which immersive language programs are available at the time I obtain the funding and apply, but my top priority languages of study are Thai, Portuguese, and Chinese. I have chosen the listed locations based on the need for more local food gardens and farms, affordable housing, learning programs, and support groups around the world. Some of the locations listed will be where I will be learning. Others, I plan on visiting to pursue mission work and help with the development of sustainable community centers, gardens and housing. I plan on documenting my journey on YouTube and be in contact with my contributors to ensure that this butterfly effect continues. I strongly believe that this will push me into living my life purpose and I thank you all in advance for believing in my vision and contributing to a global cause.
