Dance is an art that those serious about will dedicate their lives to. I am such a case. I am a student at East Carolina University, working towards a BFA with a concentration in Dance Performance and Choreography. When one of my professors announced that she is leading a study abroad program in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I knew right away that this is a chance I cannot give up! We will be going for a two-week dance intensive at the Henny Jurriens dance studio, but traveling to Den Haag and Delft for the museums, cafes, and parks as well. Exposing myself to the other side of the dance world and the people that inhabit it will prepare me for and may even earn me a professional dance career. The program itself costs $4,000, NOT INCLUDING international flight. In addition to working two jobs and selling my crafts, fundraising cannot hurt!
