Help Those Affected by Bali Volcano
My Travel Story
We are urgently requesting your support to help the local people evacuated by the threat of an eruption from Mount Agung in Bali. So far over 50,000 + people have been evacuated and had to leave their homes and possessions from the “Red zone”, not knowing if/ when they will be able to return. Possibly losing their livelihoods.
Hoping that the possible eruptions will be small and short lived but with a very real possibility and danger that this will not be the case.
People are living in makeshift tents and sports halls with hardly any water, food or sanitary facilities.
Chakra Widia, is the Founder and Director of Tri Hita Karana Foundation in Bali as well as Director of Permaculture at Sawah Bali and is trying to raise funds to help buy and distribute the essentials for the local people effected via his extensive network on the Island
There is becoming a more and more urgent need for these homeless people to have access to these bare essentials, such as:
* Rice, cooking oil, vegetables, stoves and gas bottles - Soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, powdered milk for babies - Towels, blankets, sleeping mats, clothes - Toys, books, crayons etc. for kids
* Plus face masks to protect against likely harmful silica in the air.
We are asking for any donations people can afford and are kind enough to provide to be sent via the following PayPal link. paypal.me/ChakraWidia
I appreciate that some of the friends who will receive this message will not be that aware of the situation around Mount Agung in Bali, (some coverage on BBC website) whilst others closer and in Bali will already be aware and involved in helping in some way.
Thank you for any support you are able to give and please feel free to pass this message on to others you feel may be interested to help.
