Hello,. I am a single mother of two wonderful children, ages 9 & 12. Last year I decided to take my children on their first international trip and I paid for a family trip to Panama. I got our plane tickets probably in January and the last thing I had to do was get my children's passports (I already have mine).I have had absolutely every obstacle that could have been thrown against me in the last few months and I've been dealing with everything as best as I can. I cry when I need to, I try harder when I can and I survive, day after day, which is why I was not able to apply for their passports in a timely fashion. I had unexpected financial obligations that I had to take care of so I was trying to make it all work.
Our Panama trip is on June 24th. My children still do not have their passports and last weekend my wallet was stolen with all of my money that I had towards getting my children's expedited Passports and they had an appointment the very next day. The ONLY option that is viable right now for me to make this trip happen is for me to get to Aurora, Colorado on June 17th by 8 a.m. for the ONLY passport appointment I could get before my trip. I reached out to my family and close friends and asked for support but majority of the responses have been unsupportive. People feel because I am not wealthy or stable that I shouldn't press forward. I've been told "maybe this is a sign" and any other solution that does not support me accomplish what I am determined to make happen. I am a whole hearted believer of God and I know He did not tell ME, that this trip is not for me and my children. I understand this is not life or death obviously. However, I promised my children this trip and I cannot sleep until I make this happen for them. I figured I'd reach out and ask for help because I know this is not much short of a miracle that I am trying to pull off but I hope you can find it in your heart to help my children and I get to Colorado.
