My Travel Story

Hi all! My name is Chloe Skeese and I am hoping to take approximately a two month break between my college graduation in early May 2021 and beginning my career. 

My one goal in life is to travel. Ever since I was young, I wanted to see the world, meet new people, and experience new cultures. In the spring of 2021, I will graduate college and be forced to start my life -- I feel like my life isn't ready to start yet. I want time to see places I have never seen and be the person I have always wanted to. My goal is to visit at least three different countries in my travels.

I have worked my butt off putting myself through school and trying to find my place in life but I feel like this is what I want to do. I want to travel and use my photojournalism degree to document the world so that not only I can experience how amazing our planet is.

Traveling would allow me to document the world using the lens of my camera -- I want to use my photos to show other people who may not be able to travel how much beauty there is. While traveling, I want to document how life is different in each country I stay in. I want to show working communities and be able to analyze how the United States is different from the rest of the world. I am beyond passionate about this as I have relied soely on photographs to make my nomadic heart happy -- it is time to finally experience the rest of the world. 

I chose these destinations because they all can give me beautiful landscapes to photograph, along with historical/current stories I am able to tell. 

The funds will be used to pay for travel expenses and everything that comes with (ex. flight costs, living costs, etc). I would love to have the funds by May of 2021 to use the summer after I graduate, that is my only request.

I appreciate anything and everything I receive, even if it is just 50 cents. I am so grateful for the life I have been given but I am ready to see the world around me and would be beyond grateful to anyone and everyone who donates.

I want to experience a new life that I have never had the opportunity to experience before.
