My Travel Story

As a nursing student, this mission trip to Costa Rica is an opportunity for me to serve others while continuing to grow in my education and purpose. Caring for people during vulnerable moments is at the heart of why I chose nursing, and this experience will allow me to support communities with limited access to healthcare through health clinics, patient education, and hands-on service. It is a chance to put compassion into action while learning from local providers and understanding healthcare in a global context.

This trip will help shape the kind of nurse I hope to become by strengthening my cultural awareness, empathy, and commitment to service. Costa Rica offers a meaningful setting to learn how community-based care and outreach can create lasting impact. This experience brings together my passion for nursing, service, and personal growth, and any support toward this mission helps make it possible.
