My Travel Story

Hi all, thank you for taking the time out to read about my campaign.
I'd like to start off by saying that this isn't just an ordinary vacation, its a start to a new life for me and my family.

My brother, sister-in-law, and I have been invited to visit a church family in West Virginia, U.S.A. We have been friends with this lovely family since 2010. They have been in ministry for almost their entire lives and have an established church in West Virginia. We get along exceptionally well with them, and it truly is a friendship made in heaven.

Since 2019, my brother, sister-in-law, and I have stepped into our own ministry, and we all believe that one day our two ministries will work together. This initial meeting is to lay the foundation for us eventually immigrating to America and working along side them.

We were supposed to visit in 2020, but due to COVID-19, travel bans were put in place for a long time. Aside from that difficult period in history, the cost of a two-week trip to the United States amounts to approximately $12 200, which covers basically everything needed, including our trip to Cape Town for our visas. The reason why this is so expensive is because the South African Rand is very weak towards the U.S Dollar.

Some of the expenses this amount covers include: visas and all costs associated with that process, all flights (from our city to one of the major cities in South Africa, from South Africa to Atlanta, and from Atlanta to Columbus, Ohio), accommodation, vehicle hire, gasoline and deposit, food, proper travel luggage, insurance, and other related expenses. This amount also includes some dental work before the trip.

There are some things each of us simply knows in our hearts, and for me, it is the importance of this initial trip. It is not just a vacation; it is the very beginning of a new life.

Realistically speaking, we would love to visit the States in the second half of 2026, but this is entirely dependent on our finances.
