From the US to South Korea & Japan: changing my world view!
My Travel Story
Being somewhere new forces you out of easy assumptions. When you walk streets full of history, listen to people whose lives are shaped by different priorities, or sit down to a meal with someone whose daily reality isn’t on the evening news, you suddenly understand how complicated and connected everything is. Those moments teach curiosity, humility, and the habit of asking questions instead of filling in answers.
That shift in perspective matters because thinking differently leads to doing differently. I want to come back with a deeper respect for other people’s stories, a stronger commitment to learn before judging, and concrete habits; choosing more ethical and sustainable options, making space for voices that are often overlooked, and bringing what I learn into classroom projects and community conversations. I hope to use this experience to act with more thoughtfulness and responsibility, not as a tourist but as someone trying to be a better global neighbor.
I’m grateful for the chance to learn in this way, and I plan to share what I learn so it can change not only me but the people I’m lucky enough to come home to.
