My Travel Story

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you as a history teacher at New Brighton, a small school in Beaver County, with a request that has the potential to transform the lives of our senior class students. As you may know, our town is situated in an area with limited socioeconomic opportunities, and many of our students have never had the chance to travel beyond our local community.

This year, we are planning an educational trip to Scotland for our senior class. The purpose of this trip is to provide our students with a broader understanding of the world, expose them to diverse cultures, and inspire them with the endless opportunities that exist beyond our town. We believe that this experience will be instrumental in shaping their perspectives, ambitions, and futures.

Our students are incredibly bright, motivated, and deserving of this opportunity. However, given the financial constraints faced by many of their families, the cost of the trip is a significant barrier. Therefore, we are reaching out to generous individuals and organizations who share our belief in the transformative power of education and cultural exchange to support our fundraising efforts.

The total cost of the trip, which includes airfare, accommodation, meals, and educational excursions, is approximately $4,200. We aim to raise $25,000 to ensure that every student can participate, regardless of their financial situation. Your contribution, no matter the size, will directly impact our students by making this once-in-a-lifetime experience possible.

In return for your generosity, we would be delighted to acknowledge your support in several ways:

Regular updates during the trip, so you can see firsthand the impact of your support. This trip to Scotland is not just a chance to explore another country; it is an opportunity for our students to learn about global history, cultural diversity, and to envision a future full of possibilities. Your support will help open their eyes to a world they have only read about in textbooks and inspire them to pursue their dreams with renewed vigor.

We deeply appreciate your consideration of our request. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this opportunity further, please feel free to contact me directly at 724-601-1291 or kbyers100@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time and support.
