My Travel Story

Howdy everyone! The name's Reece, and I'm a computer science and environmental studies student. I've always loved wildlife like rhinos, giraffes, vultures, and pangolins ever since I was little. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. If anything, I plan to work face-to-face with endangered animals, and GVI's program is the perfect step. I'm not just here to study my favorite animals, though. I'm also here to make conservation more accessible to children and teenagers and help them raise their voices. Children are the present, not just the future; they shouldn't have to wait to grow up to save their favorite animals. I hope to even run my own wildlife orphanage or rescue center!

This July 5, I'll be doing a Wildlife Research Internship in South Africa, under the guidance of Global Vision International. I chose GVI because of their rigorous programs and tight-knit community. GVI interns have churned out insightful data on animals and the climate across the world. GVI's program even offers a personal mentorship and online internship courses as fun, enriching steps to a career in wildlife.With GVI's training, I hope to go beyond by using AI and data analysis to enhance field research. I also hope to use growing technologies to better identify threats and protect animals from them.

I hope to raise $5095 by the end of June. So far I've paid $1600 out of pocket and need help covering the rest of the program and flight fees. If you all can offer your help, I'd be beyond grateful. I'm glad for all of your generosity! Your support helps me support animals in turn.
