My Travel Story

The lifelong blessing of studying abroad has always been a dream of mine, a dream that seemed so far off and only attainable in my future as an adult. When I first heard about the opportunity to do this as a high schooler, I knew that I just had to take it. I have always had the goal of becoming fluent in the Spanish language, and this studying abroad opportunity will jump start me on that path. This trip will take place in July from 1st to the 24th. These three weeks of cultural and lingual immersion will be full of educational, cultural, and, explorative opportunities. While I am staying in Granada, Spain, I will be living with a highly trained host family and another student enrolled in the same program. The study will take place at the renowned University of Granada located in the center of the historically rich Spanish city. Additionally, I will be taking full advantage of opportunities to volunteer and give back to the community which so graciously decided to accept me. While I am abroad, I plan to stay actively connected through a blog where I can write about my experiences and report photos to everyone! I will be beyond grateful for any contribution!
