My Travel Story

Hey there!

Writing has always been my only escape from the reality of living paycheck to paycheck. I’ve spent the last ten years practicing, and the last two years I’ve written two books—one fantasy and one romance. My plan was to hire an editor and, if traditional publishing didn’t work out, cover the costs of self-publishing, including hiring cover artists and more. But life has been tough, and now I’m desperate. I have no savings, I’m being kicked out of my flat (6 months left), my car is broken, work is burning me out, and I can’t afford therapy anymore. My dream has always been to share my stories with the world, but with my financial situation, that seems impossible.

A few months ago, when my finances were in good shape (well... i had 1k saved which is not good at all.), I enrolled in an online course to enhance my writing skills. I connected with someone else in the class who lives in Scotland, and we've since become writing buddies. We've both completed our books, and it would be fantastic if we could support each other—she could even be my editor. Although we could handle this online, I'm feeling completely burned out. I should be searching for a new flat, but it's tough when I have no motivation. I really need a break for a few weeks and either meet up with her in London or Scotland.
