My Travel Story

Hello everyone. I'm Africa, a friendly, adorable, and outgoing little girl, a blessing born with Rett syndrome, a rare and serious neurodevelopmental disorder that affects almost every aspect of life. 
 
This serious disorder is caused by a mutation in the MECP2 gene, located on the X chromosome. This gene is crucial for brain development and the regulation of other genetic functions. When it doesn't function properly, it causes problems in all areas of the body. 
 
With the advancement of science, excellent treatments and therapies have been developed. The United States has made great progress in this disease, but treatment is very expensive, and we lack the financial resources to cover the costs of treatment, travel, and accommodation. 
 
That's why we started this fundraiser to give our little girl the best, and we know that with God's help and your support, we will achieve it. May God bless you all, and thank you so much for your visit.
