My Travel Story

This study abroad oppourtinity will not only allow me to gain 15 credits by studying abroad, but they will also all be honors courses. There is about 15 honors courses I am required to take as a Barrett Honors student and this program will allow me to gain about half of them in just one semester! Studying abroad will also alllow me to understand people better and other cultures. As I am a psychology major, any further understanding of people will help my education and career. Studying abroad also helps provide me with the skills I would need to go into the work force by having to do things myself and develop more confidence and connections. I am so excited about getting to know a new country and being able to see places like the Vatican and ancient structures often! I am also super excited to get to take courses on Italian Culture and Cuisine and Mythology in Ancient Rome! I chose this specific destination as it will be the most beneficial for my career as well as to get my degree. This program however is especially meaningful to me considering how closely it aligns with my personal interests. As a Catholic, I am so excited about getting to be in Rome and being surrounded by a culture so aligned with my values.
