Dear friends,
 
My name is João Gomes, and I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency. I hail from Mozambique, Africa, a country that has been plagued by wars and terrorism for years. My family and I have suffered greatly as a result, and I have witnessed the inexplicable extermination of my relatives as if they were not human.
 
It has become clear to me that if I want to change the destiny of my family, I need to leave Mozambique and start a new life somewhere else. I am hoping to raise enough funds to travel to the United States of America, where I believe I can find safety and a better future for myself and my loved ones.
 
I know that this won't be an easy journey, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to make a better life for myself and those I care about. That's why I am turning to you for help. If you're able to help in any way, whether it's by donating or simply sharing my story with others, I would be forever grateful.
