My Travel Story
I have been to every game that he has played in - since little league. When he introduces me after a game, people ask if I'm able to make it to many, he jumps in and says "She comes to ALL my games." It's really sweet, and it has been amazing to be able to support him in this way.
I hope to continue to do so - but my circumstatnces have changed and I really don't see a way I'll be able to do it without help. (I worked for the same company for 27 years, and they recently restructured and eliminated my position. I have been working on new employment, and look forward to securing something. Right now, the job market is brutal and replacing my executive job has proven to be incredibly challenging.)
I live in Utah, and he plays for Nebraksa, so even his home games require travel on my part. I will need to travel to Kansas City Missouri, College Park Maryland, Minneapolis Minnesota, Los Angeles California, College Station Pennsylvania, and Lincon Nebraska. I will be able to drive to some of the Nebraska games, and I have worked it out to stay with friends, at AirB&B's, and a few hotels for lodging. I will do this a low-cost as I can, but it will still average about $500 per game.
