1. Background
The TUT Student Governance and Leadership Development Durban
Excursion was introduced three years ago. The core objective is to
provide unique opportunities for students through educational sites
visits. The tour is used as positive teaching tools that help the university
to enhance social, personal and emotional development of all students.
2. Expected Learning Outcomes
The SGLD has identified outside the classroom learning environment as
rewarding to both the university and students. The Durban Educational
Tour learning outcomes provides a vast learning experience. The tour is
also intended to build our students knowledge and skills through life
changing – encounters.
3. Target Group
The Tour is open to TUT registered students and mostly derived from:
SGLD, DED and Faculties.
