My Travel Story

This is not just a trip for me, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where I will learn more about myself and a whole new culture. I grew up watching documentaries about African animals and have always been mesmerized by the beauty of nature.  As someone who grew up in Canada, I have never seen a desert or even a lion; i hope to change that and experience all nature has to offer. I am currently in a gap year,  because I want to experience the world and gain new experiences that will help me path my future. I plan to involve myself in the community and learn about tradditions,culture, and customs in Africa. My most important task is helping animals in need, in fact, I have always felt a pull towards nature and animals, and I hope to make a difference in the animal community. Going to Africa is my lifelong dream and I belive it will not only provide me with amazing stories and memories but help me evolve into a better me.

I will be leaving  the comfort of my home to stay in Arusha, Tanzania for 4 weeks. Here I will be involving myself in an animal welfare program that not only helps many animals thrive, but shows them the kindness of humans. After all we have done to impact this earth, and its natural environment it is only fair to give back to nature and its inhabitants. But, as much as I wish I could spend many months and travel to many locations to countinue this journey, I cannot afford it. To all those people who want to help these animals, but cannot afford it, or do not have the spare time to do so, you can help by helping me. All donations help, and are very much appreaciated!!
