My Travel Story

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to volunteer with IVHQ in Madagascar, as it allows me to bring my passion for community development and environmental conservation to life. I'll be heading to Nosy Be, a beautiful island in Madagascar, on the 1st of November, where I’ll be living in outdoor huts and immersing myself in a remote environment. This experience will be a true cultural exchange, as I adapt to a lifestyle that’s worlds apart from what I'm used to in Sydney, Australia. I’ll be surrounded by local foods and traditions, which will challenge my understanding of daily life and broaden my perspective on the world. I’m excited for how this journey will shape my worldview, offering me a deeper appreciation of different cultures and a more profound insight into the diverse ways people live and connect with their environment. Working on projects that improve and protect the environment will enable me to make a real difference in a place where it's needed most. Madagascar's rich biodiversity and the challenges its communities face make this experience especially meaningful to me. This journey will not only help me grow personally but also fuel my dedication to creating positive change in the world.
