My Travel Story

After almost 10 years of visiting and enjoying the culture of Costa Rica I have been accepted to the Eco-Agriculture Conservation program with International Volunter HQ (IVHQ). I will be spending 2 weeks with a host family working side by side with them on their coffee plantation.  This Volunteer program will allow me to combine both my love for Costa Rica and its people and my love of botany, tropical plantsand COFFEE in a meaningful way while contributing to this famlily and their farm.
It is a wonderful opportunity for me to give back just a little for the years of pleasure Costa Rica and it's warm people have given to me.

  • Just Over 1 Month Away

    Just over 1 month away
    I just over 1 month I will be embarking on my journey to volunteer at a Costa Rica coffee farm near Monteverde Costa Rica. I am very excited to participate in the IVHQ Agricultural Conservation program. The aspect of the program that I really love is that 100% of the program fee goes to the family that will host me during my stay. I am still committed to raising enough funds to double my program contribution to my host family.
    If you haven't found that special holiday gift for friends and family, please consider a donation to my fund in their name. Donations can be made in amounts as little as $10. I will keep you all posted throughout my program and will report back on the impact that program has on the local community and their conservation efforts.
