My Travel Story

Through this trip, I will be working to finish the prerequisites for my degree in Chemical Engineering (Materials). I will also be taking a class that will help me finish a minor in General Business. Specifically, I plan to enroll in Calculus III and Physics II, as well as Financial Markets, Institutions, and International Systems. I will be doing this through Florida State University's International Program. Though my primary goal is to work towards my degree, I am also a student in the Global Citizenship Certificate, so while I am abroad I plan to fully immerse myself in the culture and get a deeper understanding of those who live differently than me. I was drawn to Panama because, as a Florida Native, I have always found it so valuable to understand Spanish. Despite me practicing everyday with my roommate or other community members, the best way to learn is through full culteral immersion. This trip will be incredibly menaingful to me, as it will allow me to grow personally while still stimulating me intellectually.
