Hi, my name is Lacy! I have received the opportunity to study abroad in Seville, Spain for the Fall 2022 semester! The program takes place at the University of Sevilla. I have never left the United States before, and I am really looking forward to learning more about another culture, especially traditional Spanish culture as I am minoring in Spanish. I've always wanted to travel, and now that I have the chance I am going to make the most of it! I hope to strengthen my knowledge of the Spanish language and meet new people from a culture so different than what I'm used to. Studying abroad will help me in my future career as one day I hope to teach English abroad, and I am also considering bilingual speech-language pathology (English and Spanish) at my current university (FIU) for grad school. I have had quite a few unexpected financial difficulties recently, and I would hate to have to cancel this opportunity of a lifetime because of it. This is my last chance to study abroad because I cannot study abroad during the last semester of my college career, which will likely be next Spring! I am so excited to have this unique experience that I will remember for a lifetime. Any assistance at all would be so greatly appreciated!
