My Travel Story

My name is Dr. Queena Saah. I am a local Pastor here in Houston. I visit Africa multiple times a year to preach the gospel. This time, it was prophesied to me to feed the women, children, and beggars in Africa, as I am known as the pastor who gives.

Africa has only two classes of people (high and low) as opposed to America, where we also have a middle-class level of individuals. Africa opened my eyes and heart to a big deal of pain as I noticed those who are well off forget their communities of mothers and siblings because they don't have money. For the poor to eat, if lucky they are hired by a family that treats them like a slave just because they are providing them with food. Not even pay.

I mentor many young adults nationwide, with my African mentees being 75% of my entire group. I am determined to teach them the importance of giving back to their community.  I want them to understand how collaboration can both decrease and answer minor problems like this within their community.

This destination was my choice because I was called to preach in multiple locations throughout the city. However, I cannot preach love and disregard those in need. Giving to those in need is an expression of love that Christ taught us as believers. It is our reasonable service to one another.

I don't know that my efforts will enhance my career or education. My only desire is to honor Christ and to obey his commandments. However, I am sure that I will learn something new. Who knows, a sermon just may come out of this, exposing the message of giving to a larger number of people throughout the city.

Train Up A Child In the Way That They Should Go!
I’m so excited! I will be delivering counseling to more than 500 youth for DOXA church and Youth Swagger (the biggest youth event in Calabar.), hosted by Grace Consulate Church Calabar. This is going to be so fulfilling. I have been working on a biblical treatment plan for children that I would love to be able to self publish on Amazon prior to leaving.

I have written about real world issues like depression, rejection, neglect, etc in the treatment plan. The purpose of this manual is to health youth be able to identify symptoms of mental health in peers and self, and to be able to apply scripture to the emotions that stem from our thoughts, making it easier for teens to establish a care team of people to talk to in the event of a crisis.

Please help me to be able to publish this manual and print at least 1,000 copies to give to the youth I’m teaching, coaching, and counseling. This is soooo community and I’m elated to be presented with this opportunity.
