Volunteering as a Teacher !
My Travel Story
I have 5 children, and now at 40, and my children growing up, I'd like to continue with other people's children, and to help the, grow. I'm incredibly proud of my birthplace, and our language (even if the history is questionable); and I can think of nothing better, than to share this with children that want to be able to use this language as well.
As a disabled woman, funding is a problem for me, as getting a full time job, in England, is not as easy as they tell you. This is where I'm lucky, I may not have that job, but I do have a supportive husband, who does work, and is willing to have our children, by himself, so that I can follow my dreams.
Being able to get some classroom time, in 1 or 2 places around the world, would help my future career in TEFL/ESL, as I don't have that all important degree. When I was younger, importance was placed on what you could do physically, not on education as such. So I trained a Chef and Restaurant Manager, and left out University. As I've gotten older, I have developed Epilepsy, and had multiple Neurosurgeries, and so now I can no longer work in my original profession. This is why, I am now focusing on Teaching Abroard.
Nepal being my number 1 choice, as my Step-Father spent a lot of time in Nepal, and that love has been passed to me, even though I've never been there.
