Hello, amazing supporters! I’m reaching out to make a long-held dream come true. My name is Iyi, and I’m hoping to fundraise for a trip to London this March 2025 to surprise a very special friend and cheer him on as he stars in his UK production, Jamaica Love (excerpts in YouTube video). After that, I’ll also take the opportunity to meet family members in Germany for the first time, making this journey even more meaningful.

A Friendship Across Oceans
Back in 2008, I met MW on an online dating platform. While we initially connected with some romantic intentions, what developed was a friendship that has now spanned 15 years and countless life changes. From opposite sides of the ocean, we’ve shared moments of laughter, supported each other through difficult times, and celebrated each other’s victories. Our friendship feels more like family, and it has always been a dream to meet in person.

Now, 15 years later, MW is about to take on a huge milestone by starring in Jamaica Love, a production that’s deeply meaningful to him. To surprise him for this big moment, I’m planning a trip to London to finally be there for him in person. The idea of being able to sit in the audience, witness his performance, and share in this success is beyond exciting.

A London Adventure with Friends
The plan is to make the surprise even more special by bringing along three friends who’ve supported both Meerv and me throughout our friendship journey. They’ve heard all the stories and shared in our laughter and late-night talks, so it would mean so much to have them alongside me for this unforgettable reunion.

During our week in London, we’ll soak in the culture, visit the historic landmarks, and celebrate this 15-year friendship with great food and adventure. The chance to explore London together will make this experience even richer, adding to the joy of seeing my friend on stage. For all of us, it will be a trip full of memories to last a lifetime.

Reconnecting with Family in Germany
Following my time in London, I’ll continue my journey to Frankfurt, Germany, to meet family members whom I’ve never had the chance to see in person. Growing up, I always heard about my German relatives but never had the chance to truly connect with them. This part of the trip will allow me to bond with family, explore my roots, and build those connections that I’ve longed for my whole life.
