My Travel Story

Thank you for checking out my page. In 2023 I hope to travel to both Hawaii and Alaska. I've been given two great opportunities to discover two vastly different states and I'd love to be able to explore both.

In January I hope to be able to explore The Big Island of Hawaii. Volcanoes have always fascinated me and being able to go to Volcanoes National Park is a dream. Being able to see the raw power of Earth would be amazing.

While there I also plan on going to cultural heritage sites to learn more about Indigenous Hawaiian culture. And as an animal lover I will being excursions to learn about the wildlife: snorkeling and horseback riding tours will be high on my list.

For Hawaii the majority of the cost I need help with is airfare. The rest have graciously been covered already.

In June I have also been given the opportunity to take a cruise to Alaska! Here I hope to see all sorts of things. 

The first of course will be Glacier Bay National Park. As of right now we are set to cruise there. Seeing glaciers in Alaska will be amazing and maybe I'll be able to catch one calving off. 

One excursion I really want to do is the Iditarod trail. The tour will be going and meeting the dogs and then being taken on a 2 mile run on a sled with the dogs. I remember being in the 4th grade and learning about the Iditarod, picking a team, and tracking their progress. Seeing what they do would make that memory even better. 

This trip is being fully paid for by myself. I'm traveling solo and inside cabin. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
