An Author Brings The World To Paper
My Travel Story
I have done this by way of writing since I was in high school. Stories untold are usually the richest ones and I've been writing on and off since 2011. Writing has always been a passion just as photography has as you'll see from the pictures above. When I picked it up again to join a forum role-playing website during the height of the pandemic, it quickly became the only constant in my life I could depend on without a doubt.
Despite my best efforts, I have always known that writing would be apart of my life and I started with submitting to small publishers over the pandemic with little satisfaction. That's because my true passion has always been to write an Afro-Futurist Fantasy Trilogy that will capture the hearts and minds of young adults and elders alike. Reimagining the world where there is space for all differences and strengths has been a passion since I wrote the first draft of this trilogy on the 2010s.
Many parts of this story draw on the cultures of Black, Indigenous, and Brown communities while creating a lens for the queer experience. My hope is to write a story that will bridge generations, provide uncharted discourse, and represent the spirit of communities torn asunder or lost as the world evolves to a place where they are left behind. Through traveling, I will be able to experience the people, their culture, the communities, and the best parts of them that will never be televised.

As a second generation descendant of Jamaican immigrants & only three generations from the first Freeborn person in my family, who spent their childhood reading books to get closer to their avid reader of a mother, I can only hope to impact readers of the world the way books and writing have always impacted me.
