My Travel Story

First off, I am beyond grateful to say that I will be attending Hiroshima-Shudo Univerity in Japan next March. As the preperation and deadlines sneak up, the more and more realization settles in. Everytime I think about my future in Japan it moves me to tears, because I truly brought my dreams to fruition.
I started this program full of doubt and under the assumption that the idea of studying abroad was a fleeting dream. I was convinced that such a marvelous  opportunity was simply out of reach for a mundane person like myself. Coming from the Navajo community where such thing are unheard of and seemingly impossible, made me believe that there be no way to make this dream into reality. Despite the hurdles and obstacles here I am, writing to you in hopes you'll help me embark on this life changing journey.
This program is important to me because it is a chance to not only experience and learn about a new culture but also to teach and share my own Native American culture with others. My achievements abroad may be minute to world but they represent the Navajo communitity beyond the reservations borders. I am not only doing this for myself but for the youth that follow behind me. To show them that we are capable of anything and I hope that my story fuels others to do much more than me.
I thank you whole heartly for your time and any donation you can offer. I know times may be tough for many. I only ask what you can afford and comfortably give, as you are not only sending me abroad but also opening doors for many others to follow. If you can't donate, no worries! All I ask is that you share my campaign and keep me in your prayers.
