My Travel Story
I am creating this campaign on behalf of my dear friend Shlomo, an incredible individual with a dream to make a significant impact both in his community and the world at large. Shlomo is an Igbo Jew from Nigeria, descending from Eri, son of Gad, son of Jacob. He holds a B-Tech qualification in Environmental Management and has a passion for environmental sustainability, which he plans to further through education in the United States.
Shlomo is set to pursue advanced studies in environmental management and sustainable development in the U.S., where he hopes to immerse himself in both academic learning and the vibrant Jewish community. His goal is not only to gain deeper knowledge but also to connect with fellow Jews who share a rich heritage of responsibility towards repairing the world (Tikkun Olam).
By advancing his education, Shlomo plans to equip himself with the skills needed to create sustainable businesses that will transform his community back in Nigeria. His vision is to improve environmental conditions, promote sanitation, and foster economic growth through green initiatives that will create jobs and provide better living conditions for his people.
Shlomo’s journey to the United States is not just an opportunity for personal growth, but a mission to uplift his family and community in Nigeria. His family has recently experienced devastating losses, with the passing of his beloved sister due to cancer and his aunt not long after. Despite these hardships, Shlomo remains determined to honor their memory by dedicating himself to a cause greater than himself—helping his family and fellow Nigerians live healthier and more sustainable lives.
However, the financial burden of international studies is overwhelming. Tuition, travel expenses, living costs, and study materials make this dream difficult to achieve alone. This is where your generosity comes in.
