My Travel Story

Hi, I’m Chris :) I’m traveling to LA from July to August for a fellowship digitizing political posters. I’ll be learning how to research the historical background of an image, archive and digitize physical documents, and put together an exhibition. I recently left law school to pivot back into writing and more artistic spaces, so I’m hoping this fellowship will help me gain practical skills in archival work to bring back to my home to Atlanta <3

I’m is particularly passionate about personal stories and vignettes that center Black femme and queer experiences. So having these skills will definitely help me highlight some of those histories and inform other people in my community how to do the same :)
