On September 3, 2020, a light was extinguished in our lives when our beloved son, Devonta Miller, was senselessly taken from us. A devoted father of three, including twins, he was full of anticipation to meet his newest daughter when tragedy struck. His life was cut short at 19, just two days before his baby girl’s birth—a moment he longed for but never witnessed.
As we mark his birthday on April 30, we find ourselves reflecting on the joy he brought us and the sorrow of his absence. This year, we are dedicating a late birthday celebration to Devonta, coupled with a memorial to commemorate the day he was taken from us.
This fundraiser is a heartfelt effort to honor Devonta's memory in a manner he truly deserves. We aim to raise funds for a fitting tombstone, cover the costs of travel and accommodation for a family gathering, create commemorative shirts, and hold a proper memorial that celebrates his life and marks the anniversary of his passing.
