Poverty shouldn't block potential. Stationary = Education

My Travel Story

This journey isn’t about me.
It’s not about my business, my career, or any personal gain.
It’s about the children in South Africa who are growing up with nothing — and who deserve so much more.

I was raised on a farm in South Africa, where I had opportunities that many children around me didn’t. Farm laborers’ kids often grew up in poverty — without proper clothing, without access to good education, and without even the most basic tools like pens, notebooks, or backpacks. And while our country has come a long way, the harsh reality remains: South Africa is still a third world country, and a large part of our population — especially in rural areas — suffers the consequences of poverty every day.

There are children in our communities who go to school hungry. Some walk barefoot for kilometers to get to class. Some share a single pencil among five students, or rely on scrap paper and broken crayons just to try and learn. Imagine trying to build a future for yourself when you don’t even own a book to write your name in.

This is where my mission begins.
I want to travel to Thailand and China, not for tourism or trade, but because these countries manufacture affordable stationery in bulk. By purchasing supplies there at low cost, I can bring back far more than I could ever afford to buy locally – and put it directly into the hands of the children who need it most.

This is a purely humanitarian effort. I will not earn a cent.
This won’t grow my career or benefit my business.
It’s simply something I feel deeply called to do.

Because poverty should never be the reason a child can’t dream of a future.
If one child can learn to write their name, do a little maths, or draw a picture that sparks their imagination – that can be the beginning of a better life.

This campaign is not just about stationery.
It’s about hope.
It’s about opportunity.
It’s about giving children the tools to believe that they matter, that they can learn, and that they are not forgotten.

If you believe in the power of small beginnings… I ask for your support.
Let’s help fill backpacks with possibility, and hands with pens – because every child deserves the chance to write their own future.
