My Travel Story

Hi everyone, my name is Phoebe and I am 20 years old.
Last year I travelled independently to Asia. It was originally a gap year, but it turned out to be something much more for me than just that.

I travelled to an island off the West cost of Cambodia. I ended up working there, helping the Island's residents with their biggest problem: taking care of homeless dogs (including new born puppies). Not only were they struggling with their own lives but giving their hearts and souls to these dogs. Some would spare their little amounts of food, give up shelter and money for medical care, to try to give these dogs a better life.

The dogs would be covered in flees and ill, most of them wouldn't survive.

I grew very fond of the puppy in the picture, but after a month, he didn't survive. I didn't have enough money or knowledge at the time to try to find a solution and due to Corona I had to fly home, leaving the island and the dogs I was taking care of.

I would truly appreciate some help, being able to go back over there and actually make a difference would mean the absolute world to me.
I would like to have the means to stay on the island for 6 months as I belive that in this time I will be able to make a real contribution.
