My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Aidan and I'm a second year nursing student at the University of Alberta. This summer I have the amazing opportunity to travel to Lusaka, Zambia to complete a nursing internship in one of the hospitals! I will be there for 3 weeks of learning and working alongside the local health professionals. I am so excited to see and participate in healthcare around the world, I will be able to gain an enriched perspective of how nurses do their job in Lusaka and I will be able to incorporate what I learn into my future practice as an RN! It has always been a goal of mine to use my knowledge to help people around the globe and I am so excited that I will be able to start achieving that goal this summer. I am so excited to serve the people of Lusaka and learn about their culture and way of life. This trip means so much to me as it will help me begin to reach and help people in different parts of the world. 
In order to get to Zambia, I am working hard to save money and pick up shifts at work when I am not too busy with school. Although I am working this semester, I am trying to raise some funds for my trip so that I can spend a little bit more time focused on school. Of course, I don't expect anything but any help is greatly appreciated!
