My Travel Story
I had an accident several years ago which left me severely disabled. I am trying to get my life back on track and also fight back against the stereotype disabled people just sit around doing nothing. I've had people say to me "you cant be at uni, you're disabled, tell the truth". Umm, I'm at university, I have gotten myself to a point I can live alone, what more truth do people want.
I have ambitions to study abroad for a year. I feel like this would be a major thing to prove to people I am independent and can do more, never mind what society wants.
Why Japan specifically? Well, assuming all goes well in my degree, I plan to eventually migrate to Japan. I think a year there would help me build connections that will be useful. Also, I feel like a year spent there would show employers that I really do want to stay in Japan and won't just decide to up and leave. Also, I feel it would help show I can adapt to new situations.
I am doing all I can to self-fund this, it's going to be very expensive Please help a disabled girl realise her ambitions.
I intend to start a blog now to share my preparation journey, as well as continue it while I am in Japan.
Thank you all for reading
