My Travel Story

by: Grace Laughton Start Date: Dec 26, 2022 - End Date: Jul 17, 2023
Hello! My name is Grace. I am a bona fide theatre kid and have been for nearly a decade now. The English and theatre department at my college is going to Scotland for 25 days from mid-July to mid-August to study Scottish literature, history, and drama. We will be going all over the country, but our trip will start in Glasgow and end in Edinburgh, where we will spend a week at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where Fringe Festival got its start before it became a worldwide event and is "the single greatest celebration of arts and culture on the planet." Going on this trip would mean the world to me. As any good theatre artist will tell you, seeing and experiencing live theatre is just as important as participating in it. The theatre tour of Scotland will teach me things that I couldn't learn in the classroom and provide me with the opportunity to adventure into the world while also aiding in me furthering my career. Thank you for reading all of this and an even BIGGER thank you if you decide to donate or share! I will be forever grateful to everyone who helps make my dream come true :)

  • Plane Has Been Booked!

Hello everyone! I just booked my plane ticket to Scotland, and I can't wait! I'm so excited that I've already been making packing lists for my carry-on bags. I tend to overpack, though. Does anybody have any tips on how to NOT stuff your luggage to the brim?

Thanks again to everybody who has donated already! I am extremely grateful for every dollar I have received. I am so appreciative of your guys' generosity :) Hope everyone reading this has a great week!
