We are asking for donations for this great opportunity to ensure that my son will not miss out on this amazing opportunity. While we will be doing our best to save money along the way, it has been very hard to put money aside to fund this trip. My income at this time is barely enough to pay the bills necessary to keep all of our debts current. We have been having to dip into any savings we have set aside due to the fact that my partner and I are having to take care of my mother 24hr/7 days a week. My mother was diagnosed with Dementia a little over a year ago and she has required full time care since January of 2023. My son didn’t get to have both of his parents at his baseball games this past summer due to one of us having to be with Mom at all times. This full time care for my mother has also made it hard to have a steady stream of income coming into the home. If we are able to raise the money to make this trip possible for our small family, we would be able to save some money to pay for someone to come into our home to take care of our mother while we are on the trip.
We will be taking hundreds of photos and videos while on the trip. All donors will be sent photos and videos of my son’s trip.
Baseball Pin Trading has become a tradition at Cooperstown. Kids are encouraged to trade Pins with other kids/teams around the nation. We would love to give our donors an authentic “Road to Cooperstown” trading Pin as well for all the donors that help us get to Cooperstown. Donors that may want something different, can take a look at the Cooperstown website and hit the “shop” button and choose something they may want us to send them from our trip if they want something special. We want our donors to experience this trip with us each step of the way.
We encourage any and all donors to reach out to us if you have any questions. We will be more than happy to talk with you via zoom, phone, etc… if you would like.
Any Donations $5,000 and above we will give a shout out on social media facebook and Instagram. We will also send you a Trading Pin, T-shirt or Hat, and your name will be put on a banner to be hung at our games, and We will donate $1,000 back to a campaign of your choice and mention your name to that campaign.
I lumped under travel expenses, the rental car, food, gas etc...all together.
I have photos of my son and his team if you request them. There was not enough space to add to the campaign.
We want to thank you all for taking the time to read our story and Thank you all in advance for your consideration in donating.
