My Travel Story

       At the beginning of this year, 22-year-old, activist, Mary was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that has the potential to be fatal.

She had begun chemotherapy treatment and was about to go on medical leave when, suddenly, she was fired from her job.

Now unemployed, Maryl is at risk of losing her health insurance and has no income.

Her only living family members are her father and younger sister who are on opposite sides of the country and unable to support her financially. She is too young to lose her life to something that can be treated with the right health resources.

Without income or healthcare, she will be unable to continue chemo with her current providers and she risks being evicted.
