I am excited to share my journey to South Africa, where I will have the incredible opportunity to support early childhood education in low-income communities. As someone who believes every child deserves a strong start in life, I am passionate about contributing to their growth and development. Early education is crucial in shaping a child's future, and I want to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

      This experience is deeply personal to me, as it will not only help me make an impact on these children's lives, but also enhance my education and future career in nursing and emergency medical services. As a nursing student and EMT, I've seen first hand how crucial healthcare is to the well-being of individuals and communities, especially those facing economic hardships. While in South Africa, I will have the chance to work alongside local professionals and educators, gaining firsthand experience in how healthcare and education intersect in underserved populations. I hope that by gaining a deeper insight into global healthcare challenges, child development, and community outreach, I will be better prepared to make a meaningful impact and serve others in the future.

      Stepping outside my comfort zone, I look forward to immersing myself in a new culture and contributing to something greater than myself.
