My Travel Story

I am a young sous Chef in Magnolia Springs, AL. I have a deep passion for southern food and believe it is one of our most valuable cultural assets. But as a young chef I rarely get to go see how modern chefs are adapting these traditions and see their techniques. I want to bring these techniques and connections back to my community in order to elevate the culture of my restaurant and the culinary community of the gulf coast here in Alabama. I feel a calling to be a force in my community for education on our culture and what makes it so special. I think tying in the history of our culture to modern practices creates a stronger and more vibrant community. Being able to visit any talented chefs and restaurants in the southeast and share their love of food with my community would mean the world to me.
